1000 Pa

Explanation:

As we know,

P = F/A

here, P is Pressure, F is force and A is Area.

Units :

According to Question, S.I units will be used,

P in Pascal(Pa), F in newton(N) and A in meter² (m²)

Solution :

 \sf = 40  \times 30 \:  cm {}^{2}  = 12 \times 10 {}^{2}  \times 10 {}^{ - 4} \: m {}^{2}   \\  \\   \sf \: = 12 \times 10 {}^{ - 2}  \:  \: m {}^{2}

F = 120 N

Calculation:

P \:  =  \frac{F}{A}  \\  \\  =  \frac{120}{12  \times  {10}^{ - 2} } \\  \\  = 10 \times 10 {}^{2}   \\  \\  = 1000 \: Pa

Therefore, The required pressure is 1000 Pa.
