Answer:-

Speed of the block just before reaching bottom of the plane is 10 m/s .

Explanation:-

We have :-

• Length of the plane = 10 m

• Acceleration of the block = 5 m/

• Initial speed of the block = 0

[As it starts from rest]

To find:-

• Speed of the block just before reaching bottom of the plane.

________________________________

By using the 3rd equation of motion, we get :-

v² - u² = 2as

Where :-

v is final speed of the body.

u is initial speed of the body.

a is acceleration.

s is distance.

Substituting values, we get :-

⇒ v² - 0 = 2(5)(10)

⇒ v² = 100

⇒ v = √100

⇒ v = 10 m/s

Given :

  • The Length of the wooden block is (s) : 10 m
  • Acceleration of the wooden block is (a) : 5 m / s ²
  • The Initial velocity of wooden block is (u) : 0 m / s [ As , It's starts from rest ]

Exigency To Find : It's speed just before reaching the bottom of the plane ( or final velocity) .

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀━━ Now , Finding Final Speed ( or velocity) of the wooden block :⠀

\dag\:\:\it{ As,\:We\:know\:that\::}\\

\qquad \dag\:\:\bigg\lgroup \sf{ Third \:Equation  \:_{(Motion )} \::  v^2 = u^2 + 2as  }\bigg\rgroup \\\\

⠀⠀⠀⠀Here v is the final velocity of the body , u is the Initial velocity of the body , a is the Acceleration & s is the Distance Travelled.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀\underline {\boldsymbol{\star\:Now \: By \: Substituting \: the \: known \: Values \::}}\\

\qquad:\implies \sf v^2 = 0^2 + 2 \times 5 \times 10 \\

\qquad:\implies \sf v^2 = 0 + 2 \times 5 \times 10 \\

\qquad:\implies \sf v^2 =  2 \times 5 \times 10 \\

\qquad:\implies \sf v^2 =  10 \times 10 \\

\qquad:\implies \sf v^2 =  100 \\

\qquad:\implies \sf v =  \sqrt {100} \\

\qquad \longmapsto \frak{\underline{\purple{\:v = 10 m/s\:\:  }} }\bigstar \\

Therefore,

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀\therefore {\underline{ \mathrm {\:Initial \:Velocity \:of\: the \:block \:before \:reaching\: the\: bottom \:of\: the \:plane \:\:is\:\bf{10 \:m / s \:}}}}\\

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀
