Answer:

To Find:- Cost the wood

Solution:-

From the data

We can understand the figure is a cuboid

and we know

T.S.A of a cuboid= 2(lb+bh+hl)

Here

l=3.25m,b=2.5m,h=45cm=0.45m

And now, substitute the values

But given the top of the box is open,so nothing should be there,the top of the box is

length and breadth,also no height is in topper surface

Therefore we've to subtract lb from the answer

Therefore the formula for your question is

T.S.A= 2(lb+bh+hl)-lb

T.S.A=2(3.25×2.5+2.5×0.45+0.45×3.25)-3.25×2.5

T.S.A=2(8.125+1.125+1.4625)-8.125

T.S.A=2×10.7125-8.125= 21.425-8.125

T.S.A= 13.3m²

Therefore the Total Surface Area is 13.3m²

and We've to find cost

Rs 20 for per m²

then for 13.3m²

it is 20×13.3

=Rs 266

hope it helps
