Explanation:

We know that the volume of part submerged in a liquid is given by, V=

Density of liquid

Density of body

Density of cube =

Volume

Mass

=

10

3

700g

=0.7g/cm

3

So, density of water =1g/cm

3

So, part of cube submerged in water =

Density of water

Density of body

=0.7/1=7/10

∴ Part of cube above water =1−7/10=3/10

i.e. 3cm of cube is above water.
