20 cm = 0.2m

Find the area of the whole door:

Area = Length x Breadth

Area = 2.08 x 1.2 = 2.496 m²

Find the area of 1 panel of glass:

Area = length x Breadth

Area = 0.4 x 0.2 = 0.08 m²

Find the area of 4 panels of glass:

1 panel = 0.08 m²

4 panels = 0.08 x 4 = 0.32 m²

Find the area of the wood:

Area of the wood = 2.496 - 0.32 = 2.176 m²

Answer: The area of the wood is 2.176 m²
