men                                  days                                     portion of work

630                                   15                                                 1 (whole)

630                                    1                                                  1/15

1                                        1                                                  1/15 x 630

Now ,

for 4 days 630 men have been doing work.

portion of work completed = 4 x 1/ 15 = 4/15

work  left  to be done = 1 - 4/15 = 11/15

no of additional men = 140
total men working = 140 + 630 = 770

    men                                              days                          portion of work

       1                                                   1                                   1/ 15 x 630

     770                                                 1                                  770 / 15 x 630

   770                                                  d                                 770 d / 15 x 630

Now  770 d / 15 x 60 =  11 /15

d = 6/7 days

Hope my answer is correct.

santy21: ans is 9 days
parisakura98pari: OK I'll recheck my answer.
parisakura98pari: d= 63/7 = 9 days..........Just calculation mistake, you see the approach.
parisakura98pari: It should be 630 instead of 60.
parisakura98pari: in the last step.
