A work man paid rs 150 for each day he works and is fined rs 50 for each day he is absent.in a month of 30 days he earned rs.2100 .for how many days did he remain absent

Hello friend here is your solution!!!!!

Let the no. Of working days be =x
Let the no. Of absent days be = y

So working days. = 150*x
Absent days =50*y

AS WE KNOW THAT

x+y=30------(1)

150*x+50*y=2100
3x+y=42 - - - - - -(2)

Adding eq. (1) and (2)

4x=72
X=12

So he is absent for 12 days.
