Since, the object is raised to certain height, the work done is equal to the potential energy stored in the body.

So, W = PE = mgh where m is the mass, g is the acceleration due to gravity and h is the height upto which the object is raised.

Here, 4900 = 50 × 9.8 × h ( g = 9.8m/s²)

h \:  =  \frac{4900}{50 \times 9.8}  =  \frac{4900}{5 \times 98}  \\  \\ h = 10

Therefore, the object is raised to a height of 10m.

50x9.8xh = 4900
h = 4900/490
h = 10 m
