Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • 30 cups used from box first day .
  • 15% of Remaining used on second Day.
  • 90 cups were used in Second day.

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • original number of cups in the box ?

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Let original number of cups in the box are X.

Than,

After First day , cup left in box = (x - 30) .

Now, 15% of The remaining cup used in 2nd Day... And value of this is 90 cup..

So,

→ 15% of (x - 30) = 90

→ 15 * (x - 30) / 100 = 90

→ (x - 30) = 6 * 100

→ x = 600 + 30

→ x = 630 cups (Ans.)

Hence, original number of cups in the box are 630 cups.

Answer:

Given -

  • The number of cups used on the first day.
  • The number of cups used the second day is 90.
  • 15% of remaining cups was used on the second day.

To Find -

  • Total number of cups before starting their usage.

Solution -

Let us assume the total number of cups before starting their usage as x.

The first day, the total number of cups used were 30.

The left cups = (x - 30).

On the second day,

➸ 15% of (x - 30) = 90

➸ 15/100 * x - 30 = 90

➸ 15 * x - 30 = 90 * 100

➸ 15 * x - 30 = 9000

➸ x - 30 = 9000/15

➸ x - 30 = 600

➸ x = 600 + 30

➸ x = 630 cups.

Hence, the total number of cups before their usage = 630 cups.
