a worker covers a distance of 40 km from his house to his place of work and 10km towards his house back. what is the displacement covered by the worker in the whole trip? If he came back to his house after 30 min. then what is it's velocity?​

Displacement will be 30 km Bcoz we know displacement is the shortest distance between two places, So (40 - 10)km = 30 km_ Ans.(1)

Now, we have to find the velocity,i.e.,speed

So, formula of speed = distance/time

While coming back his distance was 10km

And time is given 30 min = 1/2 hrs.

Therefore, Speed = 10/(1/2)km/hr

= 20 km/hr. Ans._(2)
