let the no. of days he remain absent be x then no. of days he works = 30-x
according to the question, 150(30-x) - 20x = 3650
                                           4500-150x-20x = 3650
                                           170x = 4500-3650 = 850
                                            x=850/170=85/17=5
therefore, for 5 days he remain absent
