Answer- The above question uses the concept of 'Unitary Method'.

Unitary method: It is a method of finding solution of a question by first finding out the value of one unit through division and then multiplying it with given value to get the required answer.

Question: A worker is paid Rs. 200 for 8 days work. If he works for 20 days, how much will he get?

Solution:

Amount of money paid for 8 days= Rs. 200

Amount of money paid for 1 day= Rs. 200 ÷ 8

Amount of money paid for 20 days= Rs. 200 ÷ 8 × 20

                                                            = 4000 ÷ 8

                                                            = Rs. 500

∴ The worker will be paid Rs. 500 if he works for 20 days.
