A workman is paid Rs 200 for each day he works and is fined Rs 50 for each day he works and is fined Rs 50 for each day he remains absent .If in 50 days ,he earned Rs 7500,find how many days did he remain absent? pls answer.

Let the number of days he remained absent be x and number of days he worked be 50-x
Now according to the question:-
no. of days he worked × 200 - no.days he remained absent ×50 = 7500
(50-x)×200 - 50× x = 7500
Or, 10000 - 200x - 50x = 7500
Or, 250x = 2500
Or, x = 10



Number of days he remained absent = 10 days
