Answer:
I am tired of waiting. I am going to take things into my own hands from now. Things have been going too slow that I no longer feel the need to wait and depend on others to get it done.
Just to be clear, I had decided to ask my friends to help me plan this year's annual Christmas party for our church. And they had all agreed, some even promised to donate and contribute financially. At that thought, I was happy, thinking this year's party will be the best so far.
One week passed, and none of my friends turned up whenever I called them. They all said they're busy with this and that. I excused them, hoping they'd get their things done sooner, and then they'll be there to help out. When the next week came, some did turn up and help me in making choices. A general meeting was held and opinions were taken, ideas shared, and then decisions taken on what to use, how to manage everything. That night made me feel positive about this event.
Then, by the end of the week, everyone seemed busy to even come for a meeting or to visit and see how the plan is moving forward. And it was already halfway to December that I began to seriously doubt if anyone's ever interested in helping out or embarrassing me.
So, coming back to the point, I finally decided it’s time I take things into my hand and work by myself if I am to make this event a success. No one can stop me from doing my best and that is what I will try to do. It doesn’t matter if all of them come up with lame excuses, I will just tell them it’s okay and won’t try to justify my anger or even focus on them. I have finally realized that I need to succeed on my own and not depend on others. Who cares if the decoration isn’t up to the mark? I can try my best and then see how well it turns out.
