Craftsmen a diminishing breed- still found, though in small numbers in different parts of the country -

very talented, gifted people – for them, their craft is a way of life - since changes are taking place in

several aspects of life, they have been adversely affected – some have been exploited, given very poor

returns for their labour – they need help from many quarters – legislation – protection from abuse and

exploitation – marketing help- someone to organize them - their well-being lies in the continuation of

their craft and in their well being lies the continuity of Indian cultural heritage. ​
