a)The four differences between metals and non-metals are as follows:-
(i)Metals are generally solid, exception is mercury which is in liquid form while non-metals are occur in solid(sulphur), liquid(bromine) or gas(oxygen)
(ii)Metals are generally hard and strong, exceptions are sodium, potassium and magnesium while non-metals are generally are not so strong and hard, exceptions are diamond which is hardest substance.
(iii)Metals generally are ductile (Material can be drawn into wire) and are malleable (Material can be beaten into thin sheets) while all the non-metals are brittle.
(iv)Metals have a higher melting point point while exception is mercury which is liquid at room temperature while non-metals generally have a lower melting point, exeptions are diamond and graphite.
c)The alloys of copper are as follows:-
(i)Brass is used to make electronic equipments, parts of watches and musical instruments is made up of copper and tin.
(ii)Bronze is used to make statues and bearings is made up with copper and tin.
b)The following diagram shows the electrolytic refining of copper:-
