I) Reaction of ethanol with Na

C2H5OH. + Na -----> C2H5ONa + 1/2 H2


II) Reaction with Conc H2 SO4

C2H5 OH + Conc H2 SO4 --> CH2=CH2 + H2O


It is important to note that here Sulpbiric acid act as dehydrating agent by eliminating water molecule


III) Reaction with Ethanoic acid

C2H5OH + CH3COOH--> C2H5OC2H5
