a) Mass is constant for a particle but weight of the particle can change with change in acceleration due to gravity.

Mass is a scalar quantity but weight is a vector quantity.

SI unit if mass is Kilogram but the SI unit of weight is Newton

b) Weight of an object is 1/6 the mass on earth.

Weight = (10×9.8)÷6 = 16.33 N
