Given :  A = {x:x is a divisor of 6}, B = {x:x is a prime factor of 12}

To find : Whether A = B or not

Solution:

A = {x:x is a divisor of 6}

6 = 1 * 6

6 = 2 * 3

=> Divisors of 6  = 1 , 2 , 3 & 6

=> A = {  1 , 2 , 3 , 6 }

B = {x:x is a prime factor of 12},

12 = 2 * 2 * 3

Prime factor of 12  are 2  & 3

B = { 2 , 3}

{  1 , 2 , 3 , 6 }  ≠ { 2 , 3}

=> A ≠ B

Hence A is not equal to B
