Answer: whole number is starting from zero, prime number means it is divided by 1 and it is divided by own number .for example:2,3,5,7,9.....Iam show a proof:2/2iam said key point of you in upside own number and also prime numbers are divided by1.integer means all real numbers.lam give example

: .......-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3......it's for just understanding not the

answer .next I will explain the question:

A={X:X is a whole number,X is less than 5}

are you know whole number are you don't know see upside.

A={0,1,2,3,4} the condition is satisfied.you know whole

number is starting in from zero.iam also start from zero and

X is less than 5.B={X:X is a prime number less than 5}.

are you know prime number iam think you don't see upside my answer.X is less than 5.so, B={2,3}iam continue the prime number but X is less than 5.the condition is satisfied.

U means universal means all rounder example for cricket

player.U={X:X is an integer where X is greater than or equal

to zero and less than or equal to six.are you know integer

iam think you are don't know see my upside answer. X is greater than zero means you think it is greater than zero your thinking is right but see the next word is equal to the zero .so you start the answer in zero and less than six means you

think less than six your thinking is right but see the next

word equal to six so you add six in your set.so,

U={0,1,2,3,4,5,6}. important point:0 and 1 are special is not considered to be prime numbers.l will start the answer.

A={0,1,2,3,4} B={2,3} C={0,1,2,3,4,5,6}

(A-B)U(B-A) - means difference.what is difference you think take only the 1St set of elementsnot take the second set of elements you ask your

example with me that is your rights iam said your answer is

your example.I will give answer to you .

first take the bracket elements

A- B={0,1,2,3,4}- {2,3}

A- B={0,1,4}

B-A={2,3}- {0,1,2,3,4}

B-A={} it is null set because iam already said don't take the second set of elements.{2,3} in second set.so it is null set. null set means empty set.

(A- B)U(B-A)={0,1,4}U{}={}

any null set in any set it is null set.in this condition U means Union .iam think you are clear .any doubt you comment in

comment box.I have any mistakes please tell me in comment

box .I will clear your doubts in this question.thanku.read fully my answer did not skip this.

SOLUTION

GIVEN

A = { x : x is a whole number,x is less than 5 }

B = { x : x is a prime number less than 5 }

U = { x : x is an integer where x is greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 6 }

TO DETERMINE

( A - B ) ∪ ( B - A )

EVALUATION

Here it is given that

A = { x : x is a whole number,x is less than 5 }

∴ A = { 0 , 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 }

B = { x : x is a prime number less than 5 }

∴ B = { 2 , 3 }

U = { x : x is an integer where x is greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 6 }

U = { 0 , 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 }

A - B

= { x : x ∈ A ∧ x ∉ B }

= { 0 , 1 , 4 }

B - A

= { x : x ∈ B ∧ x ∉ A }

= Φ

Now ( A - B ) ∪ ( B - A )

= { 0 , 1 , 4 } ∪ Φ

= { 0 , 1 , 4 }

FINAL ANSWER

( A - B ) ∪ ( B - A ) = { 0 , 1 , 4 }
