subtract \: ( {xy}^{2}  + 4y) \: from \: (5y -  {2xy}^{2})

Solution :

(5y -  {2xy}^{2}) - ( {xy}^{2}   + 4y)

5y -  {2xy}^{2}  -  {xy}^{2}   - 4y

 -  {2xy}^{2}  -  {xy}^{2}  + 5y - 4y

 -  {3xy}^{2}  + y

y  -  {3xy}^{2}

ans. \:  \: y -  {3xy}^{2}
