A Zinc plate was put into a solution of Copper Sulphate kept in a glass container. It was found that blue color of the solution gets lighter and lighter with passage of time. After a few days, when Zinc plate was taken out of the solution, a number of holes were observed on it

Hallo dear,
Since , zinc is more reactive than copper therefore ,
Zinc replace copper frome copper sulphate and form zinc sulphate
1 ) some holes appears on the zinc plate because some zinc atoms from zinc
plate reacts with copper sulphate and form zinc sulphat in the solution therefore some zinc atoms consume in it and some holes appears on zinc plate .
2 ) Zn(s) + CuSO4(aq) ->Cu(s)+ZnSO4(aq).
