The self-confidence of an IITian:
The passage narrated by an IITian is an inspiring and motivating narration. The narrator describes the transformation of himself from being a timid and depressed person to a confident and determined person.
Although the narrator excelled in academics right from childhood, he studied everything in his regional language Marathi. This was not a problem until he was in his native Solapur, where everyone spoke only Marathi.
However, when he landed in Mumbai IIT, it became very tough to cope with the fluently English-speaking students and professors. Both his spoken and written English was poor compared to them.
He was repeatedly humiliated because of this, developed inferiority complex depression, and felt like running away to Solapur.
However, one fine day he wisely thought over everything and thought that when he can excel in other complex subjects like Maths, then he could learn English also. This gave him good self-confidence and determination and then he decided to fight back.
