Subject: Campaign for cracker-less Diwali Festival

Respected Sir,

I, on behalf of the residents of our locality, want to address the need of cracker-less Diwali Festival. Particularly, elderly people and infants are adversely affected by these crackers. Unbearable loud noise makes pet animals feel uneasy. Pedestrians find it difficult to walk on the road. Even car and two-wheeler drivers find it difficult to make way through bursting of crackers on the road. During these days air pollution is at its peak. Many people fall ill due to inhaling of polluted air.

I hereby request you to launch a campaign to persuade residents to celebrate Diwali festival without bursting crackers. Instead of bursting crackers lamps and lanterns can be lit. Thus,we can ensure our young generation eco-friendly Diwali celebration.

Hope you will take action accordingly.

Thanking you,

With Best Regards,

ABC.
