Answer:
Nature is our greatest teacher, this teacher has given us everything in plenty and has now understood that human beings do not understand its value. Nature has its own ways to teach people and make them aware of its importance. Global warming and climate change are the two major ways in which which nature is trying to teach us some lessons, other ways are floods and drought that Maharashtra is facing,” said Singh.
There is a lot of hue and cry over the drought situation in Maharashtra. When asked what can be done to manage this situation, Singh said, “Just as in Ramayana, King Janak started working as a farmer in the times of drought and in turn got his beautiful daughter Sita (which means Nature), the politicians of the state need to stop amassing wealth and should work for the good instead – this is the only solution to the drought situation in the state.”
Talking about the seasonal drought, Singh explained, “It is not due to poor rains, rather it’s because of global warming and climate change that the rainfall has become erratic. There is the same amount of rain, only it is more in some areas leading to floods and less in some regions leading to drought. Nature is trying to tell us that we have to use its resources properly.
