= a² - b² - 4c² + 4d² - 4ad + 4bc

Rearranging

= a² + 4d² - 4ad - b² - 4c² + 4bc

= a² + 4d² - 4ad - ( b² + 4c² - 4bc )

{ Using identity

a² + b² - 2ab = ( a + b )² }

= ( a )² + ( 2d )² - ( 2 ) ( a ) ( 2d ) - [ ( b )² + ( 2c )² - ( 2 ) ( b ) ( 2c ) ]

= ( a - 2d )² - ( b - 2c )²
