If I were in the place of the astrologer, I would have given him real advice rather than a foolish one.

Explanation:

• The astrologer in the story told him to go back to his village. I would have asked the stranger to do the opposite to it.

• He also told the stranger to avoid traveling southward. I would have told him to travel where ever he wishes.
