The Ramayana is a sort of fantasy in my mind, a classical hero villain story. And yet, the characters are able to inspire me. Rama inspires me to be a better man, Hanuman a better devotee, Lakshmana a better brother.

Thanks to a realistic observation of the world, I am fascinated by the idealistic world the Ramayana portrays. And owing to a childhood bias, I am more inclined toward relishing the Ramayana than the Mahabharata.
