We are born with a limited time. In that little time we have to fulfill many things. We have to achieve our goals, our dreams etc. But most of the people in the name of help do something that may make their decision useless or can cause time to be wasted. So we should live our own life if we want to be happy.

I think this line means that when we have a time with us we should always pay attention on our career and all our needs for a future. When our life is settled then we can pay attention to others and by this thing we will be successful in life.
