Explanation:

As per the provided information in the given question, we have:

  • Aahil covered 144 km in 2 hours.
  • Naina covered 25 m in 2 seconds.
  • Victor covered 100 m in 6 seconds.

We are asked to find who travelled fast.

In order to find who travelled fast, we need to find their speed respectively. Basically, we are asked to compare the speeds, so we must express their speed in same units.

We'll be calculating their speed in m/s.

Calculating speed of Aahil :

  • Distance covered by him = 144 km ⇒ 144000 m
  • Time taken by him = 2 hours ⇒ 7200 seconds

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time} } \\

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = \dfrac{144000 \; m}{7200 \; s} } \\

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = \dfrac{1440 \; m}{72 \; s} } \\

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = 20 \; ms^{-1} } \\

Speed of Aahil is 20 m/s.

★ Calculating speed of Naina :

  • Distance covered by her = 25 km
  • Time taken by her = 2 seconds

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time} } \\

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = \dfrac{25 \; m}{2 \; s} } \\

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = 12.5 \; ms^{-1} } \\

Speed of Naina is 12.5 m/s.

★ Calculating speed of Victor :

  • Distance covered by him = 100 km
  • Time taken by him = 6 seconds

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time} } \\

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = \dfrac{100 \; m}{6 \; s} } \\

\longmapsto \sf { Speed = 16.66 \; ms^{-1} } \\

∴ Speed of Victor is 16.66 m/s.

Comparing the speeds of Aahil, Naina and Victor we get,

⇒ Speed of Aahil > Speed of Victor > Speed of Victor

⇒ 20 m/s > 16.66 m/s > 12.5 m/s

Aahil travelled the fastest among those three.

AAHIL:-

s = 144 km

t = 2 hr

∴ v = s/t = (144 km)/(2 hr) = 72 kmph.

NAINA:-

s = 25 m

t = 2 s

∴ v = s/t = (25 m)/(2 s) = 25/2 × 18/5 kmph = 45 kmph

VICTOR:-

s = 100 m

t = 6 s

∴ v = s/t = (100 m)/(6 s) = 50/3 m/s = 50/3 × 18/5 kmph = 60 kmph

So, 72 kmph > 60 kmph > 45 kmph

Or, AAHIL > VICTOR > NAINA.

So, AAHIL travelled fast.
