Answer:

first condition

fence height= 4 feet

fence shadow= 2.5 feet

then angle made by shadow edge and tree top is

here

tanQ= opposite/adjacent

tanQ= Fence height/shadow length

Q= tan inverse (4/2.5)

Q= 58⁰

second condition

tree height= x

tree shadow= 11.3 feet

tanQ= Tree Height/ Shadow length

tan (58⁰)= Height/11.3

Height= tan (58⁰)*11.3

Height= 1.6*11.3= 18

Height of tree is 18 feet.

Height=1

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

Make 2 triangles, 1 consisting of the fence and other the tree.

The 90 degree angle will be same and the bottom angle will also be same hence both of them are similar by AA.

So, their sides will be in proportion,

4/trees height= 2.5/11.3

Hence the answer is 18.08 ft.
