From the above information  we have ,

∠ i +∠r = 60 ° ........(i)

According to the law of reflection when the light rays falls on the smooth surface, the angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence.

⇒ ∠i = ∠r

Now , put ∠i in place of ∠r in equation (i) we get ,

⇒ ∠ i +∠r = 60 °

⇒ ∠ i +∠i = 60 °

⇒ 2∠ i  = 60 °

⇒∠ i = $\frac{60}{2}$ = 30 °

Hence , the value of the angle of incidence  is 30 ° .
