let the age of aaron be x and that of ron be y
y-5=x     ...(i)
y+4=2(x+4)   ...(ii)
putting value of x from eq. (i) in (ii)
y+4=2[(y-5)+4]
y+4=2[y-1]
y+4=2y-2
y+6=2y
6=2y-y
6=y
y-5=x
6-5=x
x=1 and y=6
aaron's age = 1 yr
ron's age = 6 yr

Present Age Of Ron = 6 years

Present Age Of Aaron = 1 year

Let us assume the present age of Ron to be 'a'.

If our assumption is correct then according to the question we can assume the present of Aaron as 'a - 5'.

Calculating Ron's age after 4 years:

= a + 4 years

Calculating Aaron's age after 4 years:

= a - 5 + 4

= a - 1 years

Framing a Linear Equation According To The Question:

a + 4 = 2(a - 5 + 4)

a + 4 = 2a - 10 + 8

a + 4 = 2a - 2

a - 2a = - 4 - 2

- 1a = - 6

Taking - 1 to the other side of the equation we get:

a = - 6 / - 1

a = 6

Therefore, the value we obtained for 'a' is 6.

Therefore, the present age of Ron will be 6 years as we assumed the present age of Ron as 'a'.

Calculating The Present Age Of Aaron. Whose age we have assumed as 'a - 5:

= a - 5

Putting the value of a:

= 6 - 5

= 1

Therefore, the present age of Aaron is 1 year.
