Then present age of Aaron = x - 5

According to question :

After 4 years Ron’s age = x + 4

Thus, x + 4 = 2(x - 5 + 4)  

=> x + 4 = 2(x - 1)  

=> x + 4 = 2x - 2

=> x + 4 = 2x - 2

=> x - 2x = -2 - 4

=> - x = - 6

=> x = 6

Hence, Aaron’s present age = x - 5 = 6 - 5 = 1
