Let's present age of Aaron will be 'x'

So, present age of Ron = x+5

  • Age of Aaron = x+4
  • Age of Ron =x+5

According To The Question :-

As per Equation ,,

x+5+4=2(x+4)

x+9=2x+8

9-8=2x-x

x=1

Age of Aaron is 1 Years.

Age of Ron ='x'+5 = 6 Years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Aaron is 5 years younger than Ron. Four years later, Ron will be twice as old as Aaron.

We need to find out their present ages.

Let's say the present age of Aaron be x years. As Aaron is 5 years younger than Ron. So, present age of Ron is (x + 5) years.

After 4 years:

  • Age of Aaron = (x + 4) years
  • Age of Ron = (x + 5 + 4) years

As per given statement,

x + 5 + 4 = 2(x + 4)

→ x + 9 = 2x + 8

→ 9 - 8 = 2x - x

→ 1 = x

→ x = 1

So,

Present age of Aaron = x = 1 years

Present age of Ron = x + 5 = (1 + 5) = 6 years

Therefore, the present age of Aaron is 1 year and of Ron is 6 years.
