Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Aarti, Brinda and Chandan shared 110 marbles. Brinda received twice as many marbles as Aarti. Chandan received 10 marbles more than Aarti.

To find :-

How many marbles did each child receive?

Solution :-

Given that :

Total number of marbles is shared among Aarti, Brinda and Chandan = 110

Let the marbles received by Aarti be X

Then , The number of marbles received by Chandan = 10 marbles more than Aarti

=>X+10

Number of marbles received by Brinda

= twice as many marbles as Aarti.

=> 2X

Total number of marbles

= X+2X+X+10

= 4X+10

According to the given problem

Total marbles = 110

=> 4X+10 = 110

=> 4X = 110-10

=> 4X = 100

=> X = 100/4

=> X = 25

so, X+10 = 25+10=35

2X = 2×25 = 50

Answer:-

Number of marbles received by Aarti

= 25

Number of marbles received by Brinda

= 50

Number of marbles received by Chandan =35

Check :-

Total marbles received by them 25 ,50,35

Total = 25+50+35 = 110

Verified the given relations in the given problem.
