b. Bani paid 15of the bill
c. rest of the bill was shared equally by Chaitanya, Tanya, and Sanvi.
Based on the above data answer the following questions: -
i) What fraction of the bill would be paid by Chaitanya, Tanya, and Sanvi?
ii) Since, it was Sanvi’s birthday the others insisted on paying the bill excluding Sanvi. So, they divided the bill equally. How much each must pay now?
iii) The restaurant was giving a discount to all its customer as it was its silver jubilee, so 12of the bill was waived off. How much each must pay now considering the bill has still to be divided among four of them?

Solution :-

→ The fraction of the bill would be paid by Chaitanya, Tanya, and Sanvi = 1 - [(1/2) + (1/5)] = 1 - [(5 + 2)/10] = 1 - (7/10) = (3/10) (Ans.i)

now, except sanvi , there were 4 friends .

so,

→ Except sanvi each pay now = (1/4) of total bill = (1/4) * 2800 = Rs.700 (Ans.ii)

now, since (1/2) r half of bill was waived off. then, Bill to be paid is Rs.1400 .

then,

→ Bill paid by each four = (1/4) * 1400 = Rs.350 (Ans.iii)
