let he first number be x and the second no. be y then

x*y=-4  (eq 1)

and

x-y=5  (eq 2)

x=5+y

so from (eq 1)

x*y=-4

(5+y)*y=-4

y2 + 5y +4=0

y2 + 4y + y +4 =0

y(y+4) + 1(y+4) =0

(y+1)(y+4) = 0

therefore , Y= -1 and y = -4

if y= -4

from eq 2

x -(-4)=5

x=5-4

x=1

therefore

x=1 and y= -4

b option are correct
