Heya!!!

Here's your answer friend,

According to the question,

Let one number be x and other be y

First condition : x X y = -4

xy = -4 .....(1)

and

2nd condition : x - y = 5 ... ( let x > y) ....(2)

from 2nd equation we get,

x = 5 + y ......(3)

Therefore, by substituting (3) in eq(1)

we get,

xy = -4

(5 + y)y = -4

5y + y² = -4

y² + 5y = -4

y² + 5y +4 = 0

y² + 4y + y + 4 =0

y(y + 4) + 1(y + 4) = 0

(y + 4)( y + 1) = 0

y = -4 or y = -1 is the required answer

Therefore by substituting y = -4 in eq(1)
xy = -4

x (-4) =-4
x = 1

again by substituting
y = -1 in eq (1)

we get,

xy = -4
x (-1) = -4

-x = -4
x = 4

Therefore, the two numbers are -4 and 1 or -1 or 4

Hope it helps you : )
