As AB and CD are chord so they are perpendicular bisector to radius.

So, AM=4cm, CN= 3cm

In ∆AOM,

By Pythagoras theorem,

AO²= AM²+ MO²

So, 5²= 4²+OM²

OM²= 25-16= 9

OM=√9= 3cm

Similarly in ∆CON,

ON= 4cm

MN= ON-OM

MN=1cm
