AB and CD are straight line segments. ∠ AOE = 44° and ∠ DOB = 109°.

ii) ∠ AOC + ∠ BOC = 180° (linear pair or supplementary angles)

109 + ∠ BOC = 180°

∠ BOC = 180-109

iii)

∠ BOC = ∠ AOD (vertically opposite angle) ----(i)

∠ AOD = ∠ AOE + ∠ DOE -------(ii)

∠ AOE = 44° (Given)

From (i) and (ii), we get

71 = 44 + ∠ DOE

∠ DOE = 71-44

∠ DOE = 27°
