LET THE DISTANCE BETWEEN CHORD AB AND CENTRE OF CIRCLE BE ON WHICH IS 4cm

AN = BN ( SINCE THE LINE PASSING THROUGH FROM  THE CENTRE INTERSECTING THE CHORD BISECT THE CHORD

SO LET AO BE X

AO²=AN²+ON²

X²=4²+AN²

AN²=X²-16                      (1)

SIMILARLY

BO²=X²-16                      (2)
