- AB || CD and t is a transversal which intersects AB and CD at E and F, respectively. if ∠2:∠1=5:4, find the measure of each marked angles.
Solution:
- AB || CD and t is a transversal. Also
- Angle 2:Angle 1= 5:4
- 5x+ 4x = 180(Linear pair)
- x=20 so, Angle 1 =70°
- Angle 1 = Angle 4(Vertically opposite angle)
- Angle 4 =70°
- Angle1 +Angle 3= 180°(Linear Pair)
- Angle 3 +70=180°
- Angle 3 =180-70
- Angle 3 =110°
- Also ,we have,
- Angle 2 =Angle 3(V.O.A)
- Angle 2 =110° Now we Have,
- By corresponding Angles =>Angle 1=Angle 5 => Angle 2 =Angle 8=>Angle 3= Angle 6=>Angle 4= Angle 7.
- Therefore, We get
- => Angle 5=70°
- => Angle 6=110°
- =>Angle 7= 70°
- =>Angle 8=110°
