The value of \angle D is 110\ degree

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

AB\parallel CD in trapezium ABCD where \angle A=70\ degree and \angle B=85\ degree

Find \angle D=?

In any trapezium,

Two angles on the same side are supplementary, that is the sum of the angles of two adjacent sides is equal to 180\ degree

So, From figure,

\angle A+\angle D=180

\angle D=180-70

\angle D=110\ degree

Hence, The value of \angle D is 110\ degree

The value of angle D in the trapezium ABCD when AB║CD and ∠A = 70° is 110°

  • Given

                 AB║CD, ∠A = 70°, ∠B = 85°

  • If  AB║CD, AD and BC are transversals.
  • We know that, "The interior angles formed on the same side of the transversal are supplementary"
  • ∠A and ∠D are on same side of transversal

                   ∠A + ∠D = 180

                   70 + ∠D = 180

                    ∠D = 180 - 70

                    ∠D = 110°
