Let AB is the given chord ∴ AB = 4 cm

Given that Radius (OA and OB ) = 4 cm each

If you'll observe ΔAOB

AO = OB = AB = 4 cm

∴ AOB is an equilateral triangle

∴ Angle Subtended by Chord at the centre of the circle (AOB) = 60°

Now, we know Area of Sector = (Ф /360) πr²

= (60/360)×(22/7)×4²

= 176/21 cm²

∴ Area of corresponding sector = 176/21 cm²
