AB is a diameter of a circle and C is any point on the circle.Show that the area of △ABC is maximum,when it is isosceles.

Clearly,

-> sin ( 2 x theta ) is maximum at theta = 45°

Hence, we prove the triangle is isosceles for maximum area !

Note : We used the fact that the diameter subtends a right angle at the arcs !
