since Kinetic energy =1/2mv^2;

kinetic energy =40J

mass=20kg

speed=?

= 40J=(1/2)(20)(v^2)

=40v^2=(1/2)(20)

=1/v^2=(1/2)(20)(1/40)

=1/v^2=1/4 or v^2=4

=v=2m/s

Answer:

2m/s

Explanation:

Given:

mass=20kg

K.E=40Joules.

velocity=V?

Formula:

K.E=1/2mV²

40=(1/2)*20V²

40=10V²

V²=4

V=2m/s

∴speed= 2m/s
