HI BUDDY

Until the 1990s it was thought that the expansion of the universe will slow down and universe will eventually stop expanding. But this was proved wrong when the scientist Edwin Hubble found out that the speed of expansion of universe was INCREASING and not decreasing.

Physicists thought this was because of a non luminous ( which can't be seen) mysterious kind of matter called dark matter. It accounts for approximately 85% of the total matter inthe universe. It cannot be seen. We know that dark matter exists because of the effects it has on the objects we can see directly.

HOPE THIS HELPS

Answer:

It's the strange scaffolding that dictates how matter acts. But even the best theories are crumbling under a frustrating lack of progress in determining what exactly it is.
