Let the age of Abbad be x

the age of Shafaque be y.

x= y+3 ....(1)

six years ago,

(x-6) = 4(y-6)

x-6 = 4y-24

x-4y = -18 ....(2)

Subtracting (1) & (2),

3y = 21

y = 7

x = 10

Therefore, the age of Abbad is 10

the age of Shafaque is 7.
