ABC & DBC are 2 triangles on the same base BC. If AD intersects BC at O, show that ar(ABC) / ar (DBC) =AO/DO

Here is the answer:-
Ar. of triangle = ½×b×h

ar. ∆ ABC = ½ × BC × AO

ar. ∆ DBC = ½ × BC × OD

Now.
here is what you have to do,
 \frac{ar.ABC}{ar.DBC} = \frac{AO}{DO}
